Academician Shuliang Lu Attended BOBC Annual Organic Dinner Celebration

BOBC annual Organic Dinner was held in Landmark Towers Hotel Beijing, on Saturday, December the 19th 2009. Over 200 customer representatives and guests from a wide variety of fields were invited to attend the party, including Academician Shuliang Lu, chairman, Advisory Board of Chinese Agricultural Scientists. All the organic foods were served with appreciation and the attendees enjoyed the healthy and delicious organic cusine in pleasant surroundings.

 

Chairman Zhang of BOBC opened the celebration with a welcome speech. On behalf of all BOBC staffs he first extended his warmest welcome to the guests, organic industrial insiders, major customers and members. He briefly presented the progress by BOBC over the past years in growing its core business of organic food home-delivery service to meet the demand of high-end customers for safe and top-quality food, in promoting sustainable development of China agriculture and in calling for a healthy lifestyle as well as more  concern about the ecological environment. He thanked to Academician Shuliang Lu for his cares and concerns to BOBC. He also expressed his gratitude to all the guests for their long-standing supports and encouragements to BOBC.

 

Ambassador Mingrong Zou, advisor of BOBC and executive vice chairman of the China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation, addressed the party. He praised the great efforts and brilliant success that BOBC has made since 2005 and stated that the development of organic agriculture will contribute to the progress of food safety and improve our ecological environment. He believes in a promising future of organic agriculture, as a growing industry, in China. Chairman Zhang appreciated Ambassador Zou’s care to China organic agriculture and encouragements to BOBC.

 

The theme of the dinner party promoted is Health, Ecology, Fairness and Care, four principles of IFOAM. The guests were impressed by the nutritious and delicious organic foods, carefully presented by BOBC. BOBC Wuyi Tea and BOBC organic red wine also added a pleasure while guests enjoyed live band. BOBC also gave out its 2010 Spring Festival eco-friendly gift cards to over 50 lucky-draw winners. Organic dinner will become a major channel for BOBC to promote organic life-style in China.
